I just noticed the "Reading" entry in my last journal post, and figured I needed to change something... Started rereading the Chronicles of Amber today.  Much love.  I'd forgotten that Corwin has black hair and green eyes (a winning combination in my book, too).  I think it's because my amazing '70s craptastic book club editions have a cover illustration of him with brown hair. I think perhaps when I'm old I'd like to grow herbs and bees and make wheat bread.  There's just something both wholesome and faerie about fragrant flowers and honey and good brown bread. Also, home-made honey lavender ice cream tastes like cool summer evenings.  Mmm...I wish I could just pause the world here in the summer twilight, with the dancing purple and green meadow grass and the golden flowers outside my window.
